The Pittsburgh Admissions Collaboration (PAC) provides a pathway to admission to the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) and the University of Pittsburgh. Along the way, we will also work to help you become Promise eligible.

This program is a partnership between Pittsburgh Public Schools, Community College of Allegheny County, and the University of Pittsburgh.

Who We Serve

The Pittsburgh Admissions Collaboration is an opportunity for current Pittsburgh Public School students dual-enrolled at CCAC or recent graduates of Pittsburgh Public Schools currently enrolled at CCAC.

Eligible high schools include:

  • Environmental Charter School,
  • Pittsburgh Allderdice,
  • Pittsburgh Brashear,
  • Pittsburgh CAPA,
  • Pittsburgh Carrick,
  • City High Charter High School,
  • Passport Academy Charter School,
  • Pittsburgh Milliones (UPrep),
  • Pittsburgh Obama, Pittsburgh Perry,
  • Pittsburgh Sci-Tech Academy,
  • Pittsburgh Westinghouse,
  • The Academy Charter High School,
  • Urban Pathways Charter High School, and
  • Pittsburgh Online Academy

How It Works

female student looking into beaker with green liquid insidePAC Scholars spend one to two years in the Community College of Allegheny County⁠—the length of time depends on the degree program you choose. If you successfully meet all of the program requirements, you’ll transfer to Pitt and finish your bachelor’s degree.

PAC Pathway

This is for seniors who’ve committed to the college portion of the PAC pathway. Students who are in the PAC Pathway begin their undergraduate career at CCAC and upon meeting transfer requirements for their intended school are guaranteed admissions to the University of Pittsburgh campus of their choice where they’ll finish their bachelor’s degree.

  • Admission to the University of Pittsburgh campus of their choice
  • Book stipend will be provided
  • Bus pass to ride Pittsburgh Regional Transit fare-free
  • 1:1 Mentorship from current Pitt student
  • Continuous support from high school to degree attainment
