Student success requires partnership and collaboration within and beyond the walls of Pitt. Simply put, this work cannot be done alone!
The Educational Outreach Center will facilitate, implement, and evaluate University-wide academic outreach programs, including the STEM-focused flagship INVESTING NOW program, while also supporting discipline-focused programs and collaborating with University and community stakeholders on the development of future programs.
Investing Now
Investing Now is a college preparatory program created to stimulate, support, and recognize the high academic performance of pre-college students from groups that are historically underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics majors and careers.
Pitt Horizon Scholars
The Pitt Horizon Scholars program is an initiative designed to provide comprehensive support to youth and young adults who have experienced the child welfare system, guiding them to and through their educational journey at Pitt.
Pittsburgh Admissions Collaboration (PAC)
The Pittsburgh Admissions Collaboration (PAC) provides a pathway to admission, beginning in high school to the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) and through the University of Pittsburgh. Open to grades 10–14 and students within Pittsburgh Public Schools are eligible to participate.
Pittsburgh Public Scholars
All valedictorians and salutatorians in the Pittsburgh Public Schools system are guaranteed admission to one of the five Pitt campuses. (Explore Pitt, the Pittsburgh campus, and the four regional campuses.) All eligible students will receive a minimum of $2,000 in scholarship funding, and the University is committed to meeting the full financial need of any Pell Grant-eligible Pittsburgh Public Scholars.
