Anika Jones serves as the senior program coordinator for pathway development. She joined the University Educational Outreach Center (EOC) at the end of 2022. Prior to the EOC, Anika was the outreach coordinator for the University of Pittsburgh’s Community Engagement Center (CEC) in Homewood. During her time at the CEC she implemented a robust resident engagement strategy and supported community oriented programming at the center.
Her civic accomplishments include founding the Black Youth Connection—a mentorship program for local middle school students, supporting Homewood Community Sports—a volunteer-led youth sports organization based in the city’s East End, and serving as social-action co-chair during her time as a member of Pitt’s Black Action Society.
An alumna, Anika earned a BS in psychology, a BA in social work, and a Master of Education in higher education management from the University of Pittsburgh.
